Established by Phillip Sheaff, Sheaff Vehicles has been selling quality used cars in the Tauranga area since 1989. The company was one of the first in the Bay of Plenty to import used vehicles directly from Japan. Today Sheaff Vehicles remains as one of Tauranga's premier suppliers of quality used vehicles and from 2003 we are pleased to offer the brand new Ssangyong range of 4WD's and RV vehicles. In March 2007 we relocated to a brand new purpose built premisis on Hewletts Road in Mt Maunganui. With a brand new Showroom and workshop that clearly identifies us a one of NZ's premier Ssangyong dealerships. At the same time Mike, (Phil's son) bought into the business and has taken over the management of the new yard.

Mike Sheaff - Managing Director

mike_307 I originally started work as a Accountant after graduating from Victoria University back in 1993. After completing my Chartered Accountants qualification, my wife and I headed off to the UK for our big OE. That trip turned out to be 4 years in London followed by 3 years in the Carribean (the Cayman Islands to be precise). By that stage the family ties were starting to pull and it was time to head back home to NZ with a wealth of experience and 1yr old son. So in 2003 I started working for Sheaff Vehicles 'out the back', learning the ropes from the ground up. After a couple of years the overalls were hung-up in exchange for a smart shirt and it was time to start to learn selling. The next major change was the move to the new location in March 2007. This move provided the perfect catalyst for a change in ownership and management, so I bought into the company, and Phil (my father) stepped aside from the running of the company.

On a personal note, as well as my wonderful wife of 15 years, I now have 3 awesome children (1 boy and 2 girls). I love surfing, snowboarding and recently decided to run a half marathon. I also love travelling, and while I have managed to visit a number of places around the world, there is still a lot more to be explored.

Peter Sheaff - Sales

I initally joined my younger brother (Phil) to help sell cars back in 1993 when the business moved to Mirrielees Rd. Before cars though, I've done all sorts of things, from goat farming, plumbing and even growing pine trees. I've always had a passion for 4WD adventures and I must admit there aren't too many places I haven't been to in New Zealand at some time in the past 60 years.

With all these years experiance, I know that want people want when they come to look at vehicles, is honest advice, and that is what I can promise. I'll listen to what you want and find a vehicle to suit your needs.

Service Manager - Ray Mayos

Ray is a fully quailifed mechanic with over 25 years experience. In the past he has worked on new Holdens, Puegots, Hyundai and of even new Tractors. With that type of experience, you can be assured your vehicle is in good hands, no matter what make or model. Ray started work here at Sheaff Vehicles back in 2000 when we just dealt with Used Japanese imports. Over that time he has built a loyal customer base who continue to sing his praises. Ray is married with two lovely daughters and enjoys the occasional trail bike ride, running and a spot of trout fishing.

Service Technician - Mark Sheaff

Mark started work for the family business back in 2000, initially as a groomer, before moving on to a mechanics assitant and then formally started his mechanical apprentiship in 2003. He completed his apprenticship in early 2008 and also qualified as an LTSA approved WOF inspector. Having been involved in the workshop (under the expert guidance of Ray) has meant Mark is a great asset to the team. Mark loves surfing, snowboarding and recently has taken up hunting and fishing is a big way.

Donna Davidson - Administration

Donna started working for Sheaff's in 1998 and it's fair to say she knows a thing or two about the this family business. With her positive attitude and professional manner Donna ensures things get done.

Aaron McAulay - Vehicle Presentation

Aaron started working for Sheaff Vehicles back in 2005. He has 10 years of vehicle grooming experience and takes exceptional care and pride in his work. As a result we now offer valet and grooming services to the public, so if your car needs a bit of TLC, than Aaron is your man, you just need to check out his Integra - sweet !
